New Build Gym Extension
Programme: 14 Weeks
Value: £350,000 (plus £60,000 additional work)

Scope of Works:

  • Demolition & Alterations
  • Gym construction (Ex. Slab preparation, blockwork walls & external render, windows)
  • Plantroom construction (Plant base, louvers’ and mesh enclosures)
  • Car park surface/entrance/walkway asphalt
  • Mechanical (HVAC, Sprinklers, BMS) – interfaced with ex. Hotel
  • Electrical (Power, lighting, data/TV, door entry/access control, CCTV, fire/panic alarm) – interfaced with ex. Hotel
  • Dry lining, joinery & glazed dividers
  • Wall tiling & floor finishes
  • Sanitaryware & FF&E

Works to the gym required the car park access and a number of parking bays to be closed off and guest access rerouted.

Additional works requested during the programme were cutting of slots/holes in the concrete frame/floor slabs, steel trimmers/supports to openings, carbon fibre strapping to openings and fire stopping. (All required for future proofing in preparation for alterations to M&E installation).

Close coordination with the hotel took place with daily meetings regarding noisy operations.
